The compact LEDGON 100 Goniophotometer from Instrument Systems was specially developed for analysis of the spatial radiation patterns from individual LEDs and small LED modules. Shanghai Sansi wins three awards during Guangzhou lighting exhibition
The 19th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition was held this year on June 19, 2014 in Guangzhou, China. This highly anticipated annual event invites the top tier market leaders in China's lighting industry. This year the spotlight shone on Shanghai Sansi as they received a winning streak in three major categories: The Top 10 Products Award, Top 10 Projects Award and the Top 10 Persons of Outstanding Character Award.

Samsung boosts efficacy to 143 lm/W in new COB LED products
Samsung Electronics has announced that the LC series of chip-on-board (COB) LEDs now offer efficacy improvements in the range of 10% across the various color temperatures at which the components are available. The company has also added new 3500K versions of the led street lighting Manufacturer and says that it will offer 90-CRI versions of the LEDs by mid-year.
The announcement covers the LC013B LEDs with an 11-mm light-emitting surface (LES) and the LC026B and LC040B LEDs with a 17-mm LES. As the model numbers imply, the LEDs are rated at 13W, 26W, and 40W, respectively. Samsung targets spotlights, downlights, and directional retrofit lamps including PAR and MR products with the LEDs.
Across all three product families, efficacy is now 130 lm/W at 3000K and 143 lm/W at 5000K. led street light wholesale are increased from 120 lm/W and 129 lm/W, respectively.
The efficacy specifications place the Samsung components in the performance neighborhood of other recent COB announcements such as the products we covered from Cree, Philips Lumileds, and Luminus Devices back in October. But based on a look at datasheets for Samsung's existing LC series of products, the touted efficacy is likely measured at a 25°C temperature. Samsung did not specify the operating temperature in the announcement. But many LED companies have begun characterizing components at higher temperatures that are more typical of operation in solid-state lighting (SSL) products.
The new models will be available in February with a CRI max of 80. The LED array technology used in the COB LEDs allows Samsung to offer components within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse. The LEDs are backed by LM-80 test data.
Samsung asserted that the LEDs are compatible with Zhaga specifications for modular light engines. In reality, Zhaga books don't specify LED technology, but the LES characteristics of the LC series allow the LEDs to be used with light engines that are based on Zhaga Books.

Photonics releases lightweight LED panel with simplified installation
The new 'Photonics' light weight LED panel has been designed with new benefits, when compared with other products of its type and level. The most obvious benefit is its weight, this LED panel could be considered as the lightest LED panel lighting wholesale in the world at the moment. Combining both the weight and the design of the new LED panel there are advantages to consider when comparing this with other panels available which are that it is easier to install and maintain.
With these advantages mentioned leads to a benefit which everyone loves to hear, which is saving money, not to mention the performance of the panel which will also save on the utility bills. Again due to its weight and design the way in which you will save on costs is for example, you may look for an electrician to install the panel and it is quiet common that they will charge an hourly rate. A typical LED panel can take over an hour to install or maintain due to the way it is structured and wired, but for this example we will assume it will take an hour, with the Photonics LED panel it will take roughly 15-20 minutes. There are two main reasons why there is such a big difference in installation time, and one is the weight of the panel which we have already mentioned, secondly is due to the retrofit design. For example if a user had 10 panels to install this could take a minimum of 10 hours (possibly longer), but with the Photonics panel this will take no more than 3 hours and 20 minutes, based on it taking 20 minutes to install each one. When comparing the cost of installing a typical LED panel and a Photonics panel, the difference is a minimum of about 7 hours, so if you calculate 7 hours multiplied by the hourly rate this a considerable amount.
Some things to consider when looking at the Photonics LED Panel
- Light weight compared to an existing fluorescent fixture of the same size, the Photonics LED panel could be considered the lightest panel available right now.

- Transportation of the panel could be cheaper, as some logistics companies may charge by the weight of the products.
- The illumination of LED panel lighting Manufacturer is high, so depending on preference and specification the lumen output of the LED Panel is a minimum of 3000 lumens.

Cree has announced that the east span of the Oakland Bay Bridge is now lit with its XLamp XM-L LEDs integrated in fixtures custom built for the project by Musco Lighting. Musco, meanwhile, has announced a new solid-state lighting (SSL) project in Emerson, GA at the LakePoint Sporting Community that includes custom LED fixtures and network controls.
